Not every partition is just a divider. Fire rated and acoustic partitions are performance systems: the board type, number of layers, stud specification, insulation and jointing detail all work together to hold back fire or reduce sound transmission between spaces.
A.W Drylining builds fire rated partitions to 30, 60 and 120 minute ratings, typically on metal stud systems with the appropriate board build-up and fire-stopping at heads, bases, abutments and service penetrations. For acoustic partitions we add mineral wool, resilient bars and staggered or double-layer boarding to lift airborne sound insulation between rooms, flats and offices.
These systems are common on commercial fit-outs, HMOs, flat conversions and anywhere Building Regulations require separation. We install to the specified system and provide the detailing your building control officer or principal designer needs, including penetration sealing and a tidily finished, decoration-ready face.

Acoustic insulation is fitted tightly between studs and the specified board layers are fixed to both faces.

Heads, bases, abutments and penetrations are sealed, and the partition is finished ready to decorate.
